   Madresfield Court, Worcestershire, a 136 room country house dating to the twelfth century, is the ancestral home of the Lygons family. Evelyn Waugh,(1903-1966) frequently visited the house; and reportedly based the fictional Flyte Family of Brideshead Revistedon the Lygons. The house was reconstructed in the Elizabethan, or early Renaissance, architectural style.
